Usually transmitted via email, a logic bomb is a malicious programme that’s usually transmitted via email and ‘goes off’ once a certain time or date has been reached.

Quishing

Quishing is a newer type of social engineering where cyber-attackers use QR codes that take victims to a fake website, where they are then scammed out of money,

Rootkit

A rootkit is a type of malware used by cyber criminals to gain control of your computer.

Social engineering

Social engineering can refer to many different types of cyber activities that all aim to trick someone into giving away sensitive information. Quishing is a form of social engineering.

Zero-day vulnerability

A zero-day vulnerability that the vendors have been made aware of but haven’t yet rectified. The term comes from the fact that the vendors have had ‘zero days’ to respond.
